About the Project
Inspection and Condition Assessment Services for Troll A, Troll B, Statfjord B, Gullfaks A, Gullfaks C and Oseberg A.
RaKon has carried out numerous inspection assignments on the concrete structures of Condeep platforms on the Norwegian Continental Shelf for Equinor, as well as its predecessor companies Statoil and StatoilHydro.
Ongoing condition assessments of these concrete installations have supported targeted maintenance activities and contributed to extending their operational service life.
During inspections of the concrete structures, established concrete inspection methods are used alongside detailed visual examinations. These include chloride analysis, concrete core sampling, cover depth measurements, and hammer sounding to identify potential defects and areas of deterioration.
RaKon personnel possess extensive expertise and experience in concrete inspection and rehabilitation and meet Equinor’s competency requirements for inspection and repair of concrete structures.
To conduct inspections beyond general visual assessment, the use of rope access techniques is essential. Rope access enables safe and efficient access to critical areas of the structure, allowing detailed condition assessments to be carried out where conventional access methods would be impractical or less effective.
