HSE and Quality
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at RaKon
RaKon has extensive experience delivering specialised concrete services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, an operating environment known for its stringent requirements for safety, health, environmental performance and quality.
Our operations are founded on a comprehensive management system certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, and aligned with Norwegian regulatory requirements as well as AF Gruppen's best practices.
As a provider of rope access services, we operate in environments where safety requirements are particularly demanding. Barrier management, personnel certification, buddy checks, equipment inspection, risk assessment, emergency preparedness and rescue capabilities are fundamental elements of our activities.
RaKon's approach to risk management is systematic and proactive, covering the entire project lifecycle from planning through to completion. We conduct regular risk assessments, incident reviews and audits to identify hazards and implement effective controls. Our commitment to learning from incidents, both within RaKon and across AF Gruppen, helps strengthen our safety culture and supports continuous improvement.
Environmental responsibility is an integral part of our HSE work. We actively seek to reduce our environmental footprint, substitute hazardous chemicals where feasible, and comply with all client, regulatory and internal environmental requirements. Our documentation and reporting systems, including EcoOnline for chemical management, provide traceability, transparency and effective regulatory compliance.
In summary, RaKon's HSE approach is characterised by high standards, continuous improvement and a clear commitment to protecting people, the environment and project delivery. Our experience from the Norwegian Continental Shelf demonstrates our ability to meet, and often exceed, the industry's expectations for safe and sustainable operations.
Quality at RaKon
RaKon operates within critical infrastructure sectors, including energy, industry and renewable energy. This places high demands on quality, documentation and traceability throughout all stages of our operations.
RaKon is ISO certified and operates in accordance with established management systems designed to ensure systematic quality management and continuous improvement. At the same time, we work within clearly defined customer and regulatory requirements, which demand a high level of technical expertise, structured work processes and thorough project follow-up from start to finish.
We actively invest in digitalisation to strengthen the quality of our services. Digital tools are used for document control, inspections, reporting, non-conformance management and the follow-up of improvement initiatives. This improves traceability, enhances access to information and supports effective collaboration between project teams, management and clients.
Continuous improvement is a key element of our quality culture. We actively encourage the reporting, evaluation and analysis of non-conformities, observations and improvement proposals at all levels of the organisation. Lessons learned from projects, inspections and audits are systematically reviewed to identify opportunities for improvement and reduce the risk of recurrence.
Through a structured and disciplined approach to quality management, we deliver reliable and lasting solutions for our clients.
