About the Project
RaKon supported Wood through a grouting project progressing from onshore testing and verification to offshore execution.
The initial phase was carried out in 2023 as part of a grouting pre-study for Snorre B and included FAT testing of grout material, equipment, skills and methodology. The purpose of the onshore work was to verify the proposed grouting solution under controlled conditions before offshore execution.
RaKon's grouting project approach includes engineering and method development, testing, project-specific procedures, mobilisation and offshore execution.
RaKon's scope included:
- Grouting pre-study and technical input
- Onshore testing and FAT
- Verification of grout material, equipment and methodology
- Preparation and mobilisation for offshore execution
- Offshore grouting operations
This project demonstrates RaKon's capability to take grouting projects from concept and testing through to safe and controlled offshore execution.
